Building Faith 2023: A closer look

There are certain stories that come up frequently in curricula and worship. We hear them so frequently that we sometimes forget to listen - or we assume that we already know all there is to know! But the stories of the Bible, like faith, are meant to spiral; to take on new meaning and depth at the various points of our lives. This year, we invite families to take a closer look at frequently told Bible stories that follow the rhythm of the church year.
The scripture passages for our monthly practices this year are also part of Shine Curriculum. Churches and families who use that curriculum will find some extra integration. Many of these stories can be found in the Shine On story Bible, and families may enjoy having their own copy this year.   Shine On: A Story Bible - Shine: Living in God's Light Curriculum (shinecurriculum.com) is available from this site in both Spanish and English.
Each month’s practices will include activities to do with young children. But we will also include some prompts that are more specific for adults’ spiraling understanding. We grow with our children!
