Building Faith 2022: Taste the Story
We all need to experience God’s story in ways that are tangible. What better way to do that than to taste it! Providing food is one way that God cares for our bodies. The poet Wendell Barry says food is “God’s love made delicious.” So this year, we’ll take your household on a tasting journey through the Bible. Each entry’s “Do it” prompt will be a simple recipe to make and taste with the children in your life. We’ll encourage you to read the story, then to explore it while you make your food together. This year, we invite you to taste God’s love, imagine the people of the story who came before you, and become part of that story yourself.
Done in order, these stories and recipes take you from the beginning of the Bible through Jesus’ resurrection. So reading these passages and tasting them also will take your household through the scope of the Bible in a year.
