Building Faith 2025: LIVING THE JESUS WAY
What does it mean to live out Anabaptist faith in our households? How is it the same or different from how we might raise little ones in other faith traditions? Does that even matter? Big questions with many answers! Living as an Anabaptist has changed a lot in Anabaptism’s 500 years, and this stream of Christianity is richly varied.
But there is a common core, and that core is what we focus on in 2025.
Palmer Becker’s What is an Anabaptist Christian? is the inspiration for our three broad strokes this year:
"Jesus is the center of our faith,
Christ-centered community is the center of our life,
and reconciliation is the center of our work."

*Note: During the broader reformation that brought about many streams of Christianity, Anabaptism was one of many new ways of reading and interpreting the Bible and living out faith. Anabaptist literally means “re-baptizer,” and one of the defining beliefs of this movement was that baptism is a choice people can make when they reach the “age of reason” (in other words, this tradition diverged from infant baptism). Anabaptism is a huge tent, and those who fall under it are very diverse! As a Mennonite organization, our focus this year will be on the lived faith of the Mennonite substream of Anabaptism. We know not everyone who utilizes this resource finds themselves swimming in that stream, but we think this year’s practices can still be applicable!
